According to the details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Srinagar police shared that residents of Srinagar are encouraged to share any confidential information related to drug-related activities. “The District Police has set up a dedicated helpline for this purpose, available daily from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM,” the details read. It also mentioned that for any information, citizens can contact the police via Call/WhatsApp at 9596770550. The police assured that the identity of those sharing information will remain strictly confidential. “Together, we can make a difference and protect future generations from the devastating effects of drugs,” the District Police Srinagar emphasized in a statement. Moreover, Asim Khan, a local resident, speaking on the issue, said the drug problem has been growing rapidly in our neighborhood. “I believe with the police and the public working together, we can bring an end to this menace. We need to stand united to protect our children and youth,” he said.
